College Readiness Support
Following the study abroad experience, Washington World Fellows will have access to a number of college-preparation support resources and leadership opportunities. After returning home from the study abroad program, students will re-convene for a group debrief on the program. If otherwise eligible, students will be afforded the opportunity to participate in the Washington State Senate Page Program, a weeklong learning opportunity for students to participate in the legislative process by performing a variety of tasks essential to the administration of the state Senate. The Association of Washington Generals and the Lt. Governor’s office will work with students and partner organizations to conduct periodic check-ins to ensure that students are making academic milestones and reaching personal goals. The Lt. Governor’s office will also remain an open resource to World Fellows students throughout their high school and college experiences.
