Stories from Spain: Asturias

By Makenzie Jones, 2019 cohort

On Sunday, we left on a trip to Asturias. Next to us when we were driving was a gorgeous summit. The fog was really heavy so we couldn’t get out and look but we drove right next to it and it was beautiful. We went to Covadonga, this is a church that is on the side of the mountain with a waterfall under it, it’s absolutely breathtaking. Then we went to the La villa de Cangas De Onís for lunch, I don’t like seafood so it was hard to decide what to eat. And we got free lunch because it was Luis’ birthday. Then we went to the beach! Definitely my favorite part of the trip. The water wasn’t freezing so that was good. It was a great day.
