Office of the Lt. Governor

Cyrus Habib's Office of the Lt. Governor has made expanding access to the college pipeline and promoting international engagement central to his office mission. The Lt. Governor's office has led the development of the Washington World Fellows program. 


Association of Washington Generals

The Association of Washington Generals is a civic non-profit organization established by the Washington State Legislature that is statutorily connected with the Lt. Governor's office, and is the host organization of the Washington World Fellows program. Promoting international goodwill and opportunities for underserved Washingtonians is central to the Generals' mission, and has shaped the program's equity focus.


Central Washington University is the Washington World Fellows' academic partner, and has been essential to the program's course development, outreach, and implementation. Central Washington University is enrolling Washington World Fellows as non-matriculated students, and will be certifying college courses taken during the study abroad portion of the fellowship.

The Spanish Honorary Consulate for Seattle and Oregon is designated by the Spanish government to promote relations with Spain in the Washington-Oregon area. Hon. Consul Luis Fernando Esteban has personally supported the development, sponsorship, and international relations in support of the Washington World Fellows program. 


Additional Partners

AVID is a national non-profit organization that promotes college readiness particularly for underserved, middle-performing student populations. AVID-Washington has partnered with the Washington World Fellows program to assist with information dissemination and student support.

Game On! is a middle and high school after school program housed at Central Washington University that combines soccer classes supported by the Real Madrid Foundation and computer coding classes supported by Microsoft YouthSpark. Game On! is assisting with the Washington World Fellows information dissemination to Game On! students, and supporting students' application processes. 

The College Success Foundation is a statewide non-profit organization that offers an integrated system of scholarships and supports to disadvantaged high school students in order to help them transition to and succeed in college. For the Washington World Fellows Program, the College Success Foundation has acted as a thought leader and program advisor.
